About Matthew Kennedy
Matthew Kennedy has called North Tonawanda home his whole life. He lives here with his wife, Aly, and has spent nearly a decade serving on the North Tonawanda Board of Education, including seven years as Board President.
As a strong advocate for public education, Matthew has led initiatives that improved school safety and expanded student opportunity, including establishing the School Resource Officer program and supporting P-TECH, which lets students earn a high school diploma and an associate's degree at no cost. Outside of public service, he leads teams at a Fortune 100 technology company, an experience that has shaped his belief in practical, accountable leadership built on collaboration.
His deep roots in North Tonawanda drive his commitment to seeing the city recognized as a full and equal partner within Niagara County. As a candidate for the 8th District in the Niagara County Legislature, Matthew is focused on investments in infrastructure, workforce development, and expanded opportunity for all residents.
He's looking forward to continuing his service to the community he's always called home, and to building on the progress already underway.
